The Council
‍‍
The Blockchain SSC is a nonprofit technology consortium that was formed to address the increased threats that hold back crypto’s potential, such as protocol or contract exploitation, fraud, and nation-state targeted campaigns.

Our Council plans to establish standards and companion audit schemes that will help establish a baseline level of trust and confidence across the different aspects of the blockchain ecosystem. We are working to launch our first set of deliverables by year-end 2024.
Our Work

Set security standards to address critical areas as determined by Council members
Developing Audit Frameworks & Qualifications
Develop audit frameworks that align with the developed standards; design and execute a qualification schema for 3rd party auditors
Engaging Regulators on Blockchain Security
Engage with regulators and policy makers to inform on the Council’s work and educate on security best practices for the blockchain industry
Blockchain Security Education
Educate (and provide resources for) the broader blockchain ecosystem and community around security best practices, approaches, etc.
Partnering with Security Organizations
Establish and maintain effective liaison relationships with other security standards and compliance organizations
